Shri Pradeep Praveer, HCS is a distinguished alumnus from the 1993-2000 batch. He is true inspiration for the young generation. He is an accomplished individual with an impressive academic background and professional journey of chasing his dreams. Sh Pardeep Praveer is our first alumni, serving as Civil Services Officer. After passing out from JNV Rewari, He had joined Indian Air Force as an Airman to meet livelihood demands of family. He proudly acknowledge the role of Air Force and Navodayan Life to provide him a good platform for future and added qualities like discipline, commitment, team work, respect to composite culture, tolerance and never say die attitude (NSD). Despite being a stable professional life, he continued to follow his childhood dreams of joining Civil Services to enhance the life of communities and weaker section of society. With the hectic and busy life of Airforce, he had successfully completed his graduation and Post graduation in Sociology from IGNOU. But, values learnt in JNV life continuously motivated him to further excel in life.
Subsequently, following his dreams, he started preparing for Civil Services along with active IAF service. In the year 2011, he took premature retirement from IAF and joined SBI as Probationary Officer. But the bank job profile doesn’t fascinated him and he resigned from banking service. So to meet the livelihood requirement and leisure time to do Civil service preparation, he opted for alternative career and qualified NET-JRF by UGC in Sociology. Shri Pardeep had shared that, his life was full of struggles again as he took risk of taking coaching in Delhi with no Job. His parents were also not in a position to financially help me. But many of Navodayan and Air force friends helped him by providing financial help. The Values learned at JNV and at Air Force had made him to be self motivated during these adversaries.
Subsequently, he joined Jawaharlal Lal University as JRF research scholar. The same had effectively impacted his life and gave him academic and argumentative rigor to his personality. In the year 2013, he was selected in Haryana Civil Services as BDPO. Also, he appeared for IAS Mains from 2013 to 2017 and faced interview 2 times. Shri Pardeep was selected in UPSC Civil services exam in year 2016 and got 936 Rank. During this period, he again appeared for Haryana Civil Services and selected for the elevated post of SDM. Due to lower rank in UPSC CSE, he preferred to serve in home state as HCS officer. Currently serving as SDM Firozepur Jhirka and CEO Zila Parishad & DRDA, he showcases a commendable blend of expertise and determination.
